Personal grooming
Essential daily tasks like bathing, dressing and toileting can be challenging for the seniors as they age.
At Arkaven Care, we believe in personal privacy, dignity, and independence of the seniors while we promote enhanced quality of life. We help assisting to provide comfortable and dignified bathing and dressing experience through careful and safe guidance to bathroom, transfer or supporting balance among others.
Companionship
Loneliness, fear of independence, fear of being unfamiliar living in senior community etc. are few of many challenges seniors face as they grow older.
At Arkaven Care, we help and support our seniors age gracefully with dignity. Our compassionate caregivers help to reduce loneliness by spending quality time interacting with the seniors, sharing mealtimes, playing games, getting involved in any social events among others. This helps our seniors maintain enhanced quality of life, sense of identity and self-respect.
Meal preparation
Meal preparation, washing dirty pots and pans can be enormous and overwhelming. Our caregivers can help create menus that are good for your health considering your unique diet needs. Where necessary, they help to microwave or reheat while you wait for a nice meal.
Medication reminder
Our professional caregivers are able to provide support for setting up strategies to reminding seniors about their medications.
Grocery shopping
Based on your shopping list, our caregivers shop on your behalf and if you feel like going out, they accompany you to the store. They assist in ticking off items on your list as you shop. They also help carry any heavy bags and push the cart.
Light housekeeping including laundry assistance
Keeping a healthy and safe environment can be challenging as seniors grow older. Activities like bending down to load clothes into the machine, setting up or dialing button on appliances to wash and dry could pose challenges to the elderly or disabled.
At Arkaven Care, we delight in making life easier and comfortable for you and your loves ones. We help to maintain a clean and safe environment while eliminating any tripping hazards. We provide solutions to such light housekeeping like surface cleaning (wiping counters), kitchen clean-up, vacuuming and mopping, changing beddings, taking trash out, watering plants. Our professional caregivers also help in handling your laundry from washing, drying and folding of clothes effectively and safely, thereby making your clothing clean and in good condition.
Our light housekeeping does not include any labor-intensive tasks like mowing grass, cleaning up after other people in client’s home, wiping baseboard, installing new equipment among others.
Mobility assistance
Potential limitations to walking, standing, reaching for an item or object among others are some of challenges seniors face as they grow. Our caregivers help provide solutions to these challenges thereby make life easier for the seniors.
